Fixed Braces at Evesham Place Dental
Fixed braces are metal wires attached to your teeth using metal or ceramic brackets. The wires are usually attached via little elastics and provide a continuous pressure over a period of 6-24 months.
During this period, you will have regular reviews with Dr Cordner who will monitor your progress and tighten your brace.
Orthodontic treatment is suitable for children as young as 8 years and metal braces remain a great option for younger patients or adults who think they won’t be as motivated to wear clear aligners.
We offer traditional metal braces AND the more aesthetic tooth coloured or white ceramic brackets. Metal brackets are less expensive than ceramic or custom metal brackets and have evolved over the years to be far more comfortable to wear. They are a great option for children as can be customised with different coloured bands!
